The viral audio tracks powering every Reel right now
Top Viral Tracks · Most Used Songs · Reels Music Trends
Instagram Reels has completely transformed how music goes viral. A 15-second clip can push a song from obscurity to the top of Spotify charts overnight. In 2026, the top viral tracks on Instagram are a mix of Hindi pop, international hits, and that one random old song that everyone suddenly rediscovered. These are the tracks dominating audio usage across Reels.
The most used songs on Instagram are determined by audio trends — when a creator uses a sound and it pops, thousands more follow. Right now, AP Dhillon's brooding beats, Badshah's crowd-pleasing party anthems, and The Weeknd's synthy pop are all getting millions of Reel uses weekly. The algorithm rewards the audio that already has momentum.
Reels music trends shift fast — what's trending this week may be passé by next Wednesday. That's why we update this list regularly. The current trends lean toward energetic beats for dance videos, emotional ballads for POV content, and nostalgic throwbacks for "day in my life" formats. Know your content format before picking your audio.
Using popular audio is one of the fastest organic growth hacks on Instagram. When you pick a trending song for your Reel, the platform is more likely to surface your content to people who've already engaged with that audio. It's not a guarantee, but it stacks the odds — popular audio can 2-3x your reach compared to non-trending sounds.
These songs are currently trending on Instagram in India and globally. They're being used for everything from fitness motivation to aesthetic travel content to cooking videos. The common thread? They all have that hook — that 5-second moment that makes you stop scrolling and watch.

A handful of high-follower creators start using an audio clip, engagement on those posts spikes, and Instagram's algorithm starts recommending that audio to more creators. It's a feedback loop — usage drives visibility, visibility drives more usage — and it can happen within days.
It can, but it's not guaranteed. Trending audio gives the algorithm an extra signal to test your content with people who've engaged with that sound before. It doesn't replace a good hook or strong visuals — it stacks the odds slightly in your favour, nothing more.
Fast. A song can be near the top of Instagram's trending audio for a week or two and then fade as saturation sets in. We refresh this list regularly to track what's actually gaining momentum right now rather than what already peaked last month.
They overlap but aren't identical. This page tracks broader trending audio momentum across genres and languages. Our Viral Songs Instagram page focuses specifically on the "Most Used" audio chart and the mechanics of how a track moves through that viral cycle.
